Mawi and Ekin recently start up their own fashion and clothing business named, ME World Collection at Festive Mall, Danga Bay, Johor Bahru. Simple opening ceremony had been organized by Mawi and family where more 100 fans come at ME World Collection. ME World Collection sell a lot of variety of Muslim collection. Most of design and manufacture been supervised by Ekin. Most people know, Ekin is very creative about fashion and fabric especially in Muslim fashion.

During first day opening, people who shopping more than RM100 entitle to get goodies such as CD and hand signature poster from Mawi.  For future busienss expansion, Mawi and Ekin plan to open new outlet in Kuala Lumpur next year.

Farah AF2 has always been the-girl next-door that guys just dream about. Ever since her breakthrough on the local entertainment scene in the popular reality show Akademi Fantasia season two some years ago - Farah AF2 has maintained her clean, sweet image.

That’s good for her career since she is also a favourite face for product  endorsements.

Despite her young age, the singer knows how to keep her personal life under wraps. This is evident in her secretive attitude with the media every time questions on her personal life dominate the topic.

Except for some speculation on her romantic link with popular singer, Adam some years ago, it is rare to find Farah’s name linked to another guy.

However, when met recently, the 24-year old singer appeared to have changed and seemed a bit more open with members of the media.

Asked whether this had anything to do with gossip that she was seeing someone, Farah AF2 smiled and said,: “Yes, I am having tea with someone. “Actually, we have known each other for years and have been good  friends.

“Both of us realise that we have something in common that can lead our relationship somewhere,” said the singer, who was hesitant to comment initially.

“It’s not that I’m being secretive but I don’t feel comfortable talking about this, since I’m a girl. I think I’m a conventional type, who prefers the guy to do the talking instead of me bragging about it,” she said.

Asked to divulge more details of the lucky guy, Farah said he was just a normal guy and not related to the entertainment scene.

“He has no problem accepting me for who I am since we’ve known each other for some time. What I like most about him is that he has no problems mixing with my family members, especially my father,” said Farah AF2 .

“I am very close with my father and he knows every single thing about me. He knows that I need to get his blessings and approval before I can even think of going into a serious relationship with anyone.”

Since her parents have approved their relationship, Farah AF2 was asked whether wedding bells were near.

“Not anytime soon. Both of us are still trying to get to know each other better. I haven’t given that much thought, so let’s just wait and see. I will go with the flow and hope for the best,” said Farah AF2,  who is also the host of Astro Oasis’ Rasa Halal Oriental (RHO).

Farah said she had just returned from Cambodia, to shoot the new season of RHO.

“I am glad that Astro is still giving me the opportunity to host the programme again. I learned a lot through RHO, especially the different ways of life of Muslims in other countries,” she said.

Farah AF2 is also looking forward to a contract settlement between herself and Astro Entertainment Sdn Bhd (AESB) after her previous management company, Maestro, shut down, a few months ago.

“Discussions are still on-going between AESB and me. Personally, I hope this matter can be sorted out as soon as possible as it affects my career. I just released my new album right before Maestro was closed. Promotion work for the album has been postponed. There’s nothing I can do since my contract status is still unknown.

“I was told that AESB would be taking over artistes signed by Maestro and as far as I know, some of them have signed under AESB. I am still awaiting for clarification on my status and whatever the result may be, I hope it will be a win-win situation for both parties,” said Farah AF2.

THE third installment of Pesta Malam Indonesia 3 (PMI3) was set on Saturday 10am, 20 June 2009. Stadium Bukit Jalil (Car Park A). Pesta Malam Indonesia 3 Everyone wanted tickets for this one! Showcasing the biggest acts from the south, Dewa 19, Gigi, Sheila On 7, Andra & The Backbone and Padi.. the combination of artists sent shock waves through the Malaysian music scene and drew protests from several artists who were unhappy that the Indonesians were invading.

The madness will most likely repeat itself with the third installment of Pesta Malam Indonesia, taking place away on the hard-hitting asphalt of the carpark at Stadium Bukit Jalil.

On the line-up are music heavyweights Padi, Sheila on 7, Andra & The Backbone, Gigi, Dewa and more. Padi has been on the music scene since 1997 and its members, Fadly, Piyu, Ari, Rindra and Yoyok have enjoyed tremendous success throughout the years. Their album, Sesuatu Yang Tertunda has chalked up over a million sales in the domestic market alone, making Padi one of the region’s most influential bands. Currently, Padi has a new album out entitled Tak Hanya Diam so look forward to hearing tracks performed live at this festival.

Another big Indonesian act to look out for is Andra & The Backbone, whose live shows are frequently praised. The side project of Andra, guitarist for Dewa who will also be playing at the fest, Andra & The Backbone invaded radio airwaves with monster hits like “Sempurna” and “Musnah.” Expect sing-alongs. Also expect body-surfing, mosh pits and a crowd with an up-for-anything attitude. This is one festival not for the faint-hearted and we totally love it for that!

FLY FM’s radio presenter, Hunny Madu, 25, has made it official that she’s heading down the matrimonial path - when many didn’t even know she had a boyfriend! Catching many by surprise, she revealed that the engagement to her three-year boyfriend, Khairul Azhar Abdul Wahid took place on June 13. The event was held at Hunny’s parents home at Taman Tun Dr Ismail, in a small ceremony attended by family members from both sides. On why she decided to accept the proposal at the peak of her career, Hunny Madu said she is confident that Khairul is the one for her.

“The engagement happened very suddenly and I didn’t do much preparation. Most of the work was done by a hired wedding planner from Muar,” said Hunny, whose real name is Hani Hatim.

“Actually, my fiance is a businessman, and he is a low profile kind of guy. He doesn’t like to be in the limelight.

Asked to divulge details on her fiance, Hunny Madu said: “He’s a bit older than me. Khairul is 34 but I don’t see it as a problem.

“He suddenly got down on his knees and proposed. At first I thought it was a prank since it was also April Fool’s Day.

“I laughed but later realised that he was serious about it,” said Hunny Madu, adding that she cried the moment she said “yes” to Khairul’s proposal.

“I was touched but at the same time I reminded him that if he really wants me, he’s got to meet my parents and ask my hand for marriage according to Malay custom.”

“I have dated a couple of guys before I met him and I didn’t find the “x-factor” that I was looking for in them. Khairul is very calm, a good listener, understanding as well as matured. But he still has the boyish side of him that I like.” Hunny Madu added that no date have been decided yet. But they hope to get married before June next year.
